Source: Mo. Rev. Stat. §§ 407.560 through 407.579 (Missouri New Vehicles Warranty Law)

Missouri's New Vehicles Warranty Law requires a manufacturer or its agent to repair a new motor vehicle that does not conform to its express warranties when the consumer reports the nonconformity during the warranty term or the first year following original delivery, whichever expires earlier. If the manufacturer cannot conform the vehicle to warranty after a reasonable number of attempts, it must, at its option, replace the vehicle with a comparable one or refund the full purchase price including collateral charges, less a reasonable allowance for use. It is an affirmative defense that the nonconformity does not substantially impair the vehicle's use, market value, or safety. The law covers new vehicles being transferred for the first time and not previously titled, including demonstrators and lease-purchase vehicles with a manufacturer's warranty; commercial motor vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, and off-road vehicles are excluded per a secondary source, though this was not confirmed against the statutory definitions section directly.
